Brooklyn Free Space is a not-for-profit school. We receive funding from the DOE for our free Universal Pre-K program for 4-year-olds, but we rely on a generous community of families– past and present– friends, and neighbors to support important initiatives for the school including: 

• The BFS Teachers Fund: Donations keep our salaries competitive to ensure that we can retain and recruit the best educators for our children and are able to maintain three teachers per classroom – a ratio that allows us to support different types of learners – which is unique compared to other universal Pre-K programs.

• The Financial Assistance Fund: Help us ensure that cost is not a barrier to any family wishing to join the BFS community and that our programming is open and available to all.

• The Relocation Fund: BFS is moving to a new location! Funds raised will make this move seamless, helping pay for double rents, renovations, and moving expenses.
